MINISTRY OUTREACH

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. Psalm 119:9-10
What We Believe

• We accept and believe in the Holy Bible as the complete written Word of God, preserved to us by the Holy Spirit for our salvation and instruction.

• We endorse the statement on the Word as found in the United Testimony on Faith and Life and would quote here the following: “We bear witness that the Bible is our only authentic and infallible source of God’s revelation to us and all men, and that it is the only inerrant and completely adequate source and norm of Christian doctrine and life. We hold that the Bible, as a whole and in all its parts, is the Word of God under all circumstances regardless of man’s attitude toward it.”

• We accept the ancient ecumenical symbols, namely, the Apostles’, the Nicene, and the Athanasian Creeds; Luther’s Small Catechism and the unaltered Augsburg Confession as the true expression of the Christian faith and life.

• We reject any affiliations or associations which do not accept the Bible alone as definitive for the life and practice of man and the church.

• We submit all religious teaching to the test of II John 7-11.

• We endorse no one version or revision of the Bible to the exclusion of others. We recommend all which are reverent and true translations.

Join us for bible study.

Small groups, men’s, ladies’ and couples Bible Studies are held throughout the year. This time of learning and fellowship is an important part of building spiritual maturity in the Church. Visit our calendar to find a group that is right for you.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our Sunday School program is open to children ages 3-12. It takes place at 9:00 a.m. during the traditional school year. Confirmation class is a two-year program for 7th and 8th grade students.

TEEN MINISTRY

In collaboration with our sister church, First Baptist Church in Darlington, the Youth Group meets weekly to have fun, worship and build a strong base of faith for our young people. There are also opportunities to serve the community and travel on mission trips or to the Free Lutheran Youth Conference (FLY) held every other year in Estes Park, Colorado.

COMMUNITY MINISTRY

Cornerstone supports the local food pantry with food donations and volunteers. Monthly mission focus also allows members to support local or time-sensitive needs with donations made during each service. The Mission Jar donations also give children an opportunity to experience the purpose and joy of giving.

WORSHIP SCHEDULE
Sunday School 9:00 a.m.

PRAYER REQUESTS & PRAISES

We believe that prayer is central to our faith journey. Prayer connects us to God, each other, and the world. In silence and out loud, in community and at home, we are honest and vulnerable with God and each other. With praise and thanksgiving, we share our prayer requests and commit to praying for each other.
